I woke up the morning after an open mic to my G string being broken
the capo was still on fret two
whether or not that contributed to its death, I don't know.
but i wrote a song about it.
RIP you good string.
(they call it the G string, because it's good)
lyrics
capo number two was too much pressure for you,
and i’m sorry to see you go.
but last night at the open mic,
you sounded so great.
and everybody loved hearing your golden tone.
i don’t think i could have predicted this,
because i don’t think about what could go wrong.
so i’m gonna string some shiny beads on your corpse,
and remember the great life that you had.
